As I write this, the Canyon High School Golden Warrior Regiment has just competed in their first field show competition in Temecula, Ca. Out of a field of 13 bands from Southern California, the Canyon Band won 1st place in their division with a score of 70.20, while also winning the Colorguard (74.0), Percussion (76.9) and Music sweepstakes (332.0) for the entire day. This is a great start to the year and a just reward for all the hard work thus far. To maintain this level of achievement from now on, it is going to take even harder work. As the season progresses, we will be encountering bigger and even better bands than we faced this weekend. (Not to mention that the bands we beat will be gunning for us!) Let's work hard, so we rock!!!!
